Dagmar 2 Accepted Into MUNY

On May 15th Music Under New York (MUNY) held its annual auditions. MUNY is a program designed to increase the appeal of New York’s underground transit system by bringing quality music to the underground stations. Not only does the program improve the atmosphere of the underground but it provides the artists a support structure to help them finding the right time and places to play without stepping on each other.

Dagmar 2 attended the audition and produced this great video about their experience. I have since learned that they were accepted into the MUNY program and we’d like to offer them our congratulations. If you find yourself on the NY underground keep your eyes and ears open for Dagmar 2.

  1. There is a great blog of a NYC subway musician (I think she is a member of Music Under NY) in which she tells what happens in the subway when she plays there: http://www.SawLady.com/blog
Lots of pictures & info of other subway musicians - you might see somebody you’ve seen in the trains.

  2. I remember coming across her web site. It’s pretty cool stuff and her music is worth checking out as well.

From what I understand Dagmar 2 was one of approximately 20 bands selected for this year and they keep adding more each year. It’s a great program.
