JD’s Musical Alchemy

Today I added support for reCAPTCHA to the site to help cut down on the comment spam. This is a unique service that not only helps block spam bots but every time you enter a captcha you’ll be helping with digitalizing books to preserve literature.

A captcha is a visual test that attempts to ensure that the form being validated is being filled out by a human. It does this by displaying a slightly distorted image of text and prompting the user to interpret that text.

I added a few new feed options to JD’s Musical Alchemy this week. You can now subscribe to the blog and the comments in addition to the show.

The blog feed will deliver site news, reviews, and music news. I’m planning on adding much more content in this area with the new site and I really look forward to your comments as the new content starts to come out.

It took a while but we’ve finally gone live with the new site redesign for JD’s Musical Alchemy. Feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think.

There is still a lot more I’d like to do but I wanted to get things in place for Friday’s show. It turns out that changing the feed did cause old shows to duplicate in the feed which was an unfortunate side effect. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
